PON C5 students will undertake a work placement which will be provided with the students’ objectives at the forefront.

Being the 14th largest urban area in Ireland, Carlow is superbly located, making it a hub for major Multi Nationals and SME’s. Industries such as Pharmaceutical, Food, Retail, Finance, Health, IT and Agriculture make up some of the dynamic and diverse Industrial base.

Our PON C5 programme provides the students’ with a working environment that suits their academic requirements. Our programme encourages students to apply their English Language proficiency in a work life situation.

Students will be placed in a role that develops their work, interaction and English skills. PON C5 students who are taking a Professional Internship will benefit from a role which best reflects their career objectives so that they can learn new skills in the sector that they wish to work in.

As well as enhancing their employability skills, students will gain a better understanding of how the English language is used in a professional environment which is a great skill include on their CV.

Our internships have been designed to give students full exposure to the Irish work environment and ensure they are effectively monitored, tutored and supported in their placement so that they have a rewarding stay in Ireland
